Bestselling author Elias Vayne has spent years writing stories to escape the horrors of his past. As a child, he was the sole survivor of a massacre that wiped out his entire orphanage. He doesn’t remember how he survived—only that when the slaughter ended, he was the only one left standing.

His latest work, The Arcane Academy Chronicles, takes place in Veylin Academy, a prestigious school of magic and combat. But one night, after finishing the final chapter, Elias wakes up inside his own book—not as the hero, not as the villain, but as an extra. Worse, he’s been reborn as Kael, the very same orphan who survived a similar massacre in the story.

But something is wrong. The academy isn’t as he wrote it. Characters are acting off-script, unknown forces are rewriting events, and the mystery surrounding Kael’s survival mirrors the one in Elias’s real life. The more he tries to regain control of the narrative, the more he realizes this world may not be his creation at all.

Pretty bad to be honest. The MC's knowledge of this world isn't very clear at all. I mean we know he has a library with all of his memories from the previous world, but it's not clear if that applies to the previous world or not. The library in question is also pretty nonsensical because the man isn't just reading memories you might expect. Dude seems to have a ludicrously large eclectic and convenient reading history to have stored in there.Dude seems to take some ridiculous risks before really knowing much of anything about magic too. Part of that might be the author's inability to keep his knowledge of this world consistent or the way he acts for that matter. This is only by chapter 7 as well. I can only imagine this will get worse the more the story develops because it will be more stuff for the author to try and keep track of.

Hey man, I’m interested in this novel like many other people but... if you don’t get help with translation and don’t post more chapters then I rather don’t start reading at all since it would never finish. At least for me, I would never read something that has an update rate of less than 5 chapters a week. I mean... there are people out there with even 30 chapters a week like in DMWG! And many others with more than 20! But then 1 chapter a week is too little! If you are doing something do it good or don’t do it at all. Well I’ll keep hopeful.

I love this novel. At the beginning and throughout the story there are some terms that are foreign to me(to be expected when reading something with a foreign setting) but everything or at least most everything is explained after a little bit. Li Yun was an interesting character, I loved his development into the different career fields he explored and the development of him as a character as he goes from being a child into a young man that is in a romantic relationship with someone from a powerful background. I also love the way the romance was developed. It was subtle at times but then bam there was a chapter or nearly a chapter dedicated to the developing romance and it allowed for enough satisfaction brought from the sweet moments between Li Yun and his partner while also allowing the story to continue developing in the background. Most importantly though, I love the way the typical corruption was implemented and how it was resolved. Overall I loved this book, it sucked that the ending was so abrupt and left so many questions but it also leaves the reader with something to think about which I think is a great way of leaving a lasting impression on the reader. I heavily recommend reading this and hope anyone that does makes sure they persist to the end and enjoy reading!Thank you author for writing something so enjoyable to read I don't know if you are still active on this app but I just wanted to say thanks!Note: This story has no harem(I don't think this is a spoiler so I'm not going to label the review as such)
