Since the beginning of time, when human life spawned on the earth, they had always spoken words of warning to those who worked in the shadows, in secret.
"There's always something watching you."
"You think no one knows? Well, that's a lie."
"He's watching you."
"If you're doing something in secret, remember, you have to look around because there's always someone watching."
Words and claims such as these, said by humans, driven by nothing more than belief, are what gave fruit to an omniscient being.
He saw all, knowing the deeds of everyone and everything. But since everything associated with humans was unintentional and without details, he became as such.
He was devoid of everything, his only function being to watch. But as time went on, he grew, his powers multiplying as the human population increased.
After a few millennia, he became immortal, his power unmatched, even by that of the gods.
He could see everything, even the actions of the gods themselves. But his lack of character caused him to remain mute, just watching as things played out.
His unparalleled power sparked hatred in the hearts of some of the evil gods, as they felt anxious about the fact that there was one who could see them at all times.
The hatred in their hearts fueled their desire to eliminate this being. Hence, through their deceitful ways, they convinced the greatest and most powerful among all the gods, the god of creation himself, and banded together.
Since he was a godly being and an immortal, killing him wasn't an option. Hence, they stripped him of his immortality, sending him into the realm of humans, such that he could be killed by them.
But things didn't go as planned. The now-mortal omniscient being survived and grew within the harsh world the gods placed him in.
