Su Lingyu, a lawyer in the real world, transmigrates into a novel after reading a fake heiress story in her company's breakroom. Upon waking, she finds herself in the body of Su Lingyu, a cannon fodder female supporting character known for bullying the novel's female lead, Xia Bai. The transmigration occurs during a scene where Su Lingyu and Qiao Feifei have just staged an incident to frame Xia Bai, resulting in Su Lingyu falling and hitting her head.
