I wanted to be the hero but I knew in my bones that I couldn’t.

Ten years after the end of the world I struggled desperately to survive but I fell to my knees in the face of a great destiny.

“If only I were given one more chance.”

And like a miracle, another chance came.

It’s not like before, when I gave up and let go of everything.

I’ve had enough of playing the supporting role, now it’s time to rise above everyone else.

I’ll be the main character and reach for the stars.

Never been a fan of a FL novel, but I initially found that this was an unexpectedly well-written. Nevertheless, what comes to be repetitively disturbing--at least for me--is the relation-building between FL and ML. While FL is using her intelligence, knowledge and experience in dealing with her situations, ML is "miraculously" stumbling upon chances to learn FL secrets bit by bits. I mean, come on, sneaking into the room and find her drunk and mumbling parts of her past life? and then sneaking (again) to find her in a nightmare while unconsciously speaking about her past regrets? It is becoming repetitive and boring; makes one wonder, who exactly is the true protagonist since the ML Halo seems to be stronger than the FL. That being said, still enjoy the story though, but might wanna drop this should the same thing is repeated again and again.

The narrative was decent, but what initially drew me in was the intriguing setting. However, the sudden time skip disappointed me as it eliminated the uniqueness of the environment and replaced it with a generic post-apocalyptic backdrop commonly seen elsewhere. Unfortunately, that was the main aspect that captivated my interest, so I've decided to discontinue reading the novel. Additionally, the implausible events that occurred during the time skip only served to detract from my experience.

There's a book I'd highly recommend, despite its harem theme. It focuses less on romantic relationships and more on female characters who develop feelings for the protagonist due to his guidance and support. They become reliant on him, fearing abandonment because of their past experiences. The main character garners affection from almost everyone, even from those who initially dislike him, which is quite remarkable. Reading this novel can make you question your own determination to stick to your principles – it's inspiring and makes you want to take action towards achieving your goals.
