Leona Vetrov, the heiress of the most prominent criminal family became the 'tea' of the high society when she married the orphan her family had taken in years ago. It did not matter what she lost as long as she was with him, the only man who would ever have her heart. But it took her a betrayal to realize that the stab that cripples a person always comes from someone they trust― her husband. To Leona, that was their end as she never wished to cross paths with him again. Two years after their divorce, when they encounter each other again, she realizes that her heart is still soft for him. What's worse is that the man acts as if she is still his wife and they never divorced. Zayden King is the most eligible bachelor in New York after his divorce. Having clawed his way up from nothing, he now has everything one could ever wish for. Behind the façade of a man who could have any woman is a young boy who had once crossed the threshold of a castle and fallen in love with the princess there. She loved him when he had nothing and he lost her when he acquired the world at his fingertips all because of one secret. Now, Leona is determined to keep him away but Zayden is more so determined to stop at nothing to win her back and make her his, all over again. However, when they grow close, the shadows of the past threaten to rip them apart. Will they clear their misunderstandings or will their second-chance encounter go down in flames, forever marking the end of the possibility of them?

The FL seems spoiled and weird. Who would ride a cab and not have any cash with her? At least the countrys currency? Why not go to a hotel instead of going to somebody elses house. She even got angry that the owner of the house is not home when she seem not to inform anyone she would be back from US. What a weird and dumbly stupid character. I totally junked the book immediately.
