The Little Pixiu Falls into a 70s Military Compound and is Spoiled by the Whole Army

In the summer of 1970, within the military district of Suicheng, a young regiment commander named Bai Dingting leads a search operation for missing children. His squad discovers an unconscious three-year-old girl in an alleyway. Upon seeing her face, Bai Dingting realizes with shock that the child is his daughter, Bai Li. However, the girl is not the original Bai Li, who had died from injuries sustained during a kidnapping attempt alongside her mother, Yu Lixia. Instead, the consciousness inhabiting the body belongs to Little Pi Xiu, a five-hundred-year-old mythical beast from a spiritual realm. Little Pi Xiu had been accidentally kicked by a rival beast during a conflict and transmigrated into the dying child’s body. Recognizing the urgency of the situation, she immediately alerts her new father that her mother has been kidnapped by human traffickers and is about to be sold.

Bai Dingting, initially skeptical due to his ongoing mission, is compelled to act when his daughter provides specific details about the abduction. Guided by Little Pi Xiu’s heightened senses and intuition, he tracks the traffickers to a secluded house. Inside, they find Yu Lixia, who is desperately trying to rescue her daughter, believing the child to be dead. The rescue operation turns violent as the traffickers attempt to flee with another abducted boy. Bai Dingting engages the criminals in a shootout, while Little Pi Xiu displays surprising physical prowess, dislocating a trafficker’s shoulder and disarming another woman to secure the scene. During the confrontation, Little Pi Xiu insists on receiving official rewards for her assistance, treating the meritorious acts as transactions that earn her Karmic Merit, a spiritual currency that helps her stabilize her soul within the human body and unlock her Companion Space.

Following the rescue, the family returns to the Yu household, where complex domestic tensions surface. Yu Lixia lives with her parents, Commander Yu Jianguo and Shen Qionghua, because she and Bai Dingting do not cohabit, a separation rooted in a past misunderstanding involving a swapped identity and broken engagements. Yu Qingqiu, Yu Lixia’s aunt and the daughter of the family’s adopted circle, harbors resentment toward Yu Lixia and dotes on her own spoiled daughter, Wei Linlang. Wei Linlang had previously bullied the original Bai Li, pulling her hair and causing the incident that led to the kidnapping. Upon returning home, Wei Linlang continues her hostile behavior, slapping Yu Jianguo and insulting Bai Li as a bastard. In response, Bai Li slaps Wei Linlang, an act that Yu Lixia and Bai Dingting support, firmly establishing that their daughter will not be mistreated.

The narrative shifts to health and family dynamics when Bai Li detects that her grandfather, Yu Jianguo, is suffering from critically high blood pressure. Despite his denial, she insists on medical attention, preventing a potential stroke. As a reward for saving his life, Yu Jianguo gifts Bai Li the family heirloom, a Pixiu jade pendant. This gesture sparks jealousy in Wei Linlang and anger in Yu Qingqiu, who feels entitled to the family’s favor. Through overhearing conversations between her uncle Yu Yingyi and aunt Qin Xiuqiao, Little Pi Xiu learns the full truth of the past: Yu Lixia was originally engaged to Bai Dingting, but a mix-up led to her being separated from him, only to reunite later under tragic circumstances. Determined to repair the fractured relationship between her parents and protect her new family, Little Pi Xiu resolves to use her knowledge and abilities to navigate the political and personal challenges ahead, starting with ensuring her parents live together and addressing the underlying health and moral issues within the Yu family.
