The Little Military Wife of the Seventies

Su Ruo is an eighteen-year-old student in August 1972, eagerly packing for her departure to Qing University in the provincial capital. Her life appears stable, though strained by her stepmother Lin Wanhua and stepsister Su Jia, who have gradually marginalized her within the family. Su Ruo is engaged to Yuan Chengyang, a childhood friend from a close family friend, and looks forward to escaping her current domestic tensions. However, her plans are shattered when she discovers that her father has been reported for having capitalist relatives overseas.
