The Little Baby Searches for Her Mommy; the Entire Internet Rushes to Adopt Her

Niannian is a four-year-old girl living with her adoptive parents, Zhang Kang and Chen Hui. Their home is filled with constant arguing and abuse. When her parents announce a divorce, Niannian desperately tries to stop her mother from leaving, but Chen Hui cruelly kicks her away and declares she is not her mother. Niannian overhears her father admitting that he believes she is not his biological child and plans to send her to live with a violent grandfather in the countryside. Convinced that her current parents are fake because they do not love her, Niannian decides to run away to find her real mother. She wanders alone until she stumbles upon the filming site of a popular parent-child variety show called Happy Parent-Child Travel.

At the show, Niannian is mistaken for Qiao Lianlian, an ordinary child assigned to celebrity Wen Chengxi as his intern daughter. Meanwhile, Qiao Lianlian, threatened by Qi Qi, spreads rumors to Niannian that she is stealing Wen Chengxi’s affection. Hurt and confused, Niannian briefly considers leaving the show but is convinced to stay by Wen Chengxi’s emotional appeal.

As the show continues, the contrast between Niannian’s obedience and Qi Qi’s tantrums draws public sympathy toward Niannian.
