And the man forgot.
Nobody is able to say why it happened or how. There may have been some natural phenomenon that erased our memories, we might transgress a rule of some unknown power and be punished for it. Maybe, simply, man did it to himself.
As little children, reduced to little more than animals, we wandered for centuries while our fatuous civilization collapsed around us. Everything became ruins. The ruins became dust. And the dust dispersed in the winds.
At that time the world had another name.
But nobody remains to remember it.

Author note: What if you have to build your Empire, just with the most low level creatures in the world, goblins.

This story is seriously wish fulfillment to the max. To the point where it becomes pretentious. Like, the story treats every little thing MC does as sacred and exaggerates it for nothing. For example, MC gives his bland opinion on something that others have given similar bland opinions on, but then the “Holy Dao” decides to reverberate it across the world and act like he said some holy gospel that revolutionized the world. And the worst part is that everyone starts acting like what he said was so profound and they’re all getting breakthroughs and shit but it was just some basic ass opinion. Like this is so damn pretentious. I’m only 90 chapters in but already there’s been like 40 instances where the MC is being coddled by this “Dao” or lucking out by sheer story happenstance. It’s borderline unreadable. Even for the most bored person out there, you’ll eventually feel annoyed while reading this story.
