Nobody is able to say why it happened or how. There may have been some natural phenomenon that erased our memories, we might transgress a rule of some unknown power and be punished for it. Maybe, simply, man did it to himself.
As little children, reduced to little more than animals, we wandered for centuries while our fatuous civilization collapsed around us. Everything became ruins. The ruins became dust. And the dust dispersed in the winds.
At that time the world had another name.
But nobody remains to remember it.
