Shirou's lips thinned. The spiritual pressure Yamamoto was releasing was visibly affecting the weaker Hollows and Shinigami fighting below. Worse, Yamamoto was focusing the output of his Spiritual energy over the Hollows. Some were already on their knees panting for breath. If Yamamoto continued increasing his energy, then only death would await those fighting below.

"I didn't think you were able to be that cruel and incisive." He said.

"Ho-how?"

It's a fascinating novel with complex world-building and attractive characters. It's also unique among the apocalypse novels I've read before, and I've read a lot of them because I like this genre. It may be just my preference, but I find the plot, especially the romance, a bit too fast-paced. Though, so far, there's so much potential for this novel.

Really great story. Author jumps right into the plot, giving world-building here and there for an overall easy read. Love the descriptions and can't wait to see what songs the MC chooses.
