“Wait,What are you doing Aeris”I said but she wasn’t even looking back nor replying.
I know I lied to her but it was to protect her. She couldn’t be that heartless after I saved her from her own father.
“Do you know why I can’t stay a second longer?”She asked . Finally she said something.
“Why can’t you stay?” I asked.
“Because everyone I ever loved and thought loved me back left and betrayed me in the end. I can’t be sure you won’t do same. I doubt my heart can mend after another heartbreak.” She said almost at the verge of tears.
I hugged her from behind and said “You don’t have to think I love you baby girl. You should know that I love you. They left cause they didn’t love you nor deserve you. I don’t deserve you either but I can assure you that I will give you the happiness you deserve. And every moment with me will be worth it.”
“You promise?” She asked turning back.
I held her face in my hands and said assuring her
“I promise”.
I sealed the promise with the most passionate kiss we had shared yet.And as soon as my lips touched hers, I knew she was the one and I made the right choice.
