The son of a duke, Ojero Guestino never had much to worry about. Setting off to an Academy to master magic at the heart of the realm, he hopes to obtain and master an element, make some friends, and then do his required military service to fight the Beasts with his fellow countrymen in a glorious crusade. Things change entirely when he stumbles upon a Ravager, one of the fabled Kings of Beasts, and learns the truth of the fighting: The human's victory is nowhere near assured.
Given great and terrible powers, Ojero must work with his friends and allies to master their magic and fight against the enemies of mankind, while also hiding the truth of his strange element.
