The Detective Everyone Hates (Who Happens to Be a Billionaire)

Jian Ruochen, a top student at the National Criminal Police Academy, falls asleep in his dorm and wakes up in the body of a fictional cannon fodder character from a novel titled Giants. The original Jian Ruochen was a poor, frail young man from the Jiang family, forced to live in squalor while the adopted son, Jiang Hanyu, received all the family's affection and resources. In the novel, the original character foolishly renounced a ten-billion inheritance to stay with the Jiangs, only to be exploited as a blood donor and organ source for Jiang Hanyu, eventually dying a miserable death.
