As war ravages the steppe of the East, a Priestess hounded from her home, and her companion who never had one, follow a trail of fire and cinders left behind by a creature borne of the blood and fire which covers the steppe, more distant from life than from death. If they falter then the entire steppe may be set ablaze and reduced to ash before any may sit upon its throne.
