Harris watched intently as she placed the telephone on the receiver. He then hurriedly positioned himself by the door, waiting anxiously. As she swung the door open, she was startled to find him standing so close that she nearly collided with him.
"Oh my God, Harris, I didn't see you," she exclaimed, her laughter tinged with nervousness. Ignoring her initial reaction, Harris pressed on.
"Who was that on the phone?" he inquired, his expression serious.
"Pardon?"
"Who was that on the phone?" he repeated, his face unwavering. "I don't understand," she responded, a frown forming on her brow. "Nevermind," he said, handing her a white envelope. "Here." Masking her growing concern, she opened the envelope and read its contents. With a trembling hand, she looked up at Harris. "What is this?" "Exactly what you think it is... Who is Andrew's biological father?”
