The Beloved Cub Farms in the Beastman World

In the frigid far north, a family of snow fox beastmen migrates southward under the aurora's glow. The family consists of the strong warrior father Feng Yan, the skilled sub-beastman mother Rong Shan, the twelve-year-old eldest son Bing Qiu, and the youngest son Xue Tuan. Xue Tuan is a sub-beastman who, despite being nearly seven years old, cannot transform into his beast form and suffers from chronic physical weakness. The tribe's priest had previously declared that Xue Tuan was unfit for this world and predicted he would not survive past early childhood. Refusing to accept this fate, Feng Yan and Rong Shan undertook a grueling sixty-day journey to find a warmer climate that might improve their son's health. Unbeknownst to his family, Xue Tuan is actually a transmigrator named Hu Li, formerly an eleven-year-old ginseng spirit from a demon realm. After falling from a cliff during his previous life, he awoke in this beastman world. He has adapted well to his new environment, finding comfort in his family's devotion and the abundance of fluffy fur around him. As the family travels south, Hu Li notices his physical condition steadily improving, gaining strength and appetite with each passing day.

Upon reaching a small, struggling tribe, the Snow Fox family seeks refuge. The tribe is facing a severe food shortage due to the cold season and depleted resources. The tribe's priest, Yun Lu, and the deputy chieftain are hostile toward the outsiders, viewing them as a burden. However, the tribe's rules of hospitality compel them to accept the Snow Fox family. Hu Li, now more active and curious, explores the area and encounters a small black lion cub named Chong Yan. Chong Yan is an outcast in the tribe, labeled a jinx and a monster because he lost his ability to transform and speak after contracting a strange illness at age five. He is bullied by other children for being different. Hu Li, feeling a kinship with another child who cannot transform, defends Chong Yan from the bullies and befriends him. The two spend time together, with Hu Li enjoying the sensation of Chong Yan's thick black fur.

The Snow Fox family begins to integrate into the tribe. Feng Yan and Rong Shan demonstrate their hunting prowess by capturing a large White Feather Beast on their first outing. They share a portion of the meat with the tribe, earning some respect from the elder but drawing envy from others. Hu Li uses his knowledge from his previous life to improve the family's diet. He discovers wild pepper plants and edible mushrooms, creating a sweet and sour sauce that transforms their bland meals. He also finds a dried-up hot spring cave containing sulfur, which he collects for future use. His innovations bring joy to his family and highlight his intelligence despite his young appearance. Meanwhile, Chong Yan continues to watch Hu Li from a distance, drawn to the only person who treats him with kindness.

As the family settles in, tensions within the tribe rise. The chief's hunting party has been missing for days, and the tribe's food reserves are critically low. Feng Yan and Rong Shan discover tracks of a Giant Horned Beast, a dangerous creature that has haunted the area for years. They report this to Elder Mu Shi, hoping to organize a hunt to secure more food. The elder is terrified of the beast and refuses to send anyone, fearing further casualties. Despite the danger, Feng Yan is determined to hunt the beast to provide for his family and potentially help the tribe. The story ends with the Snow Fox family preparing for the upcoming hunt, while Hu Li continues to adapt to his new life, strengthening his bond with his family and his unusual friend Chong Yan. The presence of the Giant Horned Beast looms as a significant threat, and the tribe's fragile survival hangs in the balance.
