The Awakening of the Paranoid Villain’s Little Daddy

Wen Cishu is a frail young man with a congenital heart condition who lives a secluded life within the wealthy Bo family mansion. He is the second husband of Bo Tingyuan, the cold and authoritative head of the Bo family, and the father of their nine-year-old son, Bo Yiming. Wen Cishu possesses a secret knowledge: he has transmigrated into the body of a character from a dramatic novel. In the original story, his son Bo Yiming grows up to become a ruthless, obsessive villain who torments the protagonist and ultimately meets a tragic end. Worse, Wen Cishu himself dies of a heart attack when Yiming is twelve, an event that drives Bo Tingyuan into madness and leads to his suicide two years later. Having woken from a nightmare revealing this dark future, Wen Cishu resolves to change the trajectory of his son's life and prevent the impending family tragedy.

The immediate conflict arises when Bo Yiming, a lively and energetic child, announces his desire to join a talent show to become an entertainment idol. In the original novel, this path leads Yiming into the industry where he becomes entangled in toxic relationships and moral corruption. Wen Cishu, terrified by the prospect, attempts to stop him. Bo Tingyuan agrees to this arrangement, allowing Wen Cishu to accompany his son. This decision marks a significant shift in the family dynamic. Wen Cishu begins to take better care of his health, practicing Tai Chi and engaging more actively with his family. He also starts to notice subtle signs of Bo Tingyuan's affection, such as the husband's quiet attentiveness and the gift of a rare jade bracelet, which Wen Cishu realizes was obtained through a visit to a temple where Bo Tingyuan prays for his family's well-being.

The story progresses to the filming of the variety show. Wen Cishu and Bo Yiming arrive at the location, where their striking appearances cause a sensation among the crew and other celebrity guests. Wen Cishu's ethereal beauty and Yiming's mixed-race charm draw immediate attention, with viewers and cast members alike struggling to believe they are non-celebrities. The filming goes smoothly, and Wen Cishu finds joy in watching his son perform. Meanwhile, Bo Tingyuan monitors the broadcast from a separate location, displaying a protective and reverent interest in his family's participation.
