In the past I had rated this novel quite highly, but as of chapter 200 I’m beginning to get fed up with how the book is written. The system quickpy becomes irrelevant and there is no progression on that end nor is it even mentioned hardly at all. His medical skills? Also essentially become obsolete except for every 50 chapters he will maybe do a dissection. The MC has turned into some mystical detective who continuously gets led around by his nose by all these different organizations who make him constantly have illusions.Literally. Half the book from chapters 50-200 is just the guy having illusions and suffering. His abilites help him hardly at all and he remains a weak character all throughout. Even when the MC strengthens himself, its all for naught. The MC is a powerless character who just follows a line others have set out for him and everything he does is all calculated by others. Its the same shitty feeling as 008 in Lord of the Mysteries where everything the MC does is just what the quill writes. I’m not even able to articule in words the feeling other than just how disappointing and unenjoyable it is.

I would not recommend this novel. Although it has an okay story, it is completely taking concepts and story elements from other popular books. Read them instead of this one

I've read 91 chapters. Love the idea. Hate the execution and pace. The development is sooo ssllooowww, and the horrible update schedule just makes it worse. I don't expect him to be a god among men by now, but a system should provide more growth at a faster rate. After nearly 100 chapters, Jay still seems weak. When compared to other similar novels, the progress is much more tangible in every other novel I've seen. He has basically only used his system powers THREE times in 91 chapters! Also, the powers he does obtain with the system seem to grow at the normal rate of needing YEARS of honing. Then there is the issue of making small advances seem huge. Jay can now mildly sense what his parasites feel which gives him a low-powered danger warning sense and the ability to sense the strength of opponents. He can also slightly buff or very mildly influence someone infected with his parasites.  He basically has 3 very normal protagonist skills. The author acts like these are insane gains in ability when they're really bland. In 91 chapters, he should have used his system multiple times, should have several skills, and should have tangible growth. The author may as well have left the system and parasites out at this rate, and just made the novel about a guy with 3 normal abilities instead of the usual one per person.
