Due to the threat it causes, all Ancient Swords are besieged by the Semi-Supreme Beings (beings who are almost omnipotent). That incident caused all of the Ancient Swords to be fragmented into hundreds of thousands of pieces and scattered throughout the multiverse. Even the strongest Ancient Swords which are The Sword Of Chaos and The Sword Of Origin weren't able to win against the Semi-Supreme Beings.
The original counterpart of Chaos, the Sword Of Chaos, is wielded by the weakest swordsman and after 10,000 years have passed, both of them became the strongest existence in the God Realm. A lot of Supreme Gods coveted the power of the Sword Of Chaos so all of those Supreme Gods ganged up against Chaos and his wielder until Chaos and his wielder perished in the battle.
Ancient Swords can't die so instead of dying, Chaos finds himself in a cave with nothing other than his power to wield Chaos itself.
His Knowledge? Most of his memories are sealed by a higher being!
Cultivation Base? His life was saved, not his cultivation base. Thus, he has to start everything from scratch with only his chaos sword forms as his cheat.
