Lin Ran, a survivor of the apocalypse, endures six years of suffering after the world collapses. Her younger brother dies from the cold, her parents perish in zombie attacks, and she is eventually betrayed by her lover, Ye Lan, and sold to a cruel research laboratory. There, she is imprisoned alongside Jiang Chen, the former leader of the largest survival base and a rational Zombie King. Despite his condition, Jiang Chen regains his powers by burning his crystalline core and breaks them both out. Together, they destroy the laboratory and kill Ye Lan in the explosion, but Lin Ran dies in the blast. She then wakes up in her childhood bed on May 21, 2043, three months before the apocalypse begins. Realizing she has been reborn, she confirms her Spatial and Lightning abilities have returned with her. Her Dimension is now at Level 5, offering a vast landscape with purified water and fertile land.
Lin Ran immediately reveals the truth to her family, including her younger brother Lin Ze and their parents. After demonstrating her powers by transporting them into her Dimension, she explains the coming disasters: extreme heat, floods, plagues, and the zombie virus. The family decides to liquidate their assets, selling their supermarket and apartment to fund massive preparations. They take out substantial loans, knowing the money will become worthless after the apocalypse. Lin Ran and Lin Ze stockpile tons of rice, flour, oil, spices, and daily necessities in a rented warehouse, while the rest of the family works on renovating their grandfather’s farm in the mountains, which Lin Ran knows will be safe from the coming floods.
Meanwhile, Jiang Chen, who survived the explosion in his previous life, begins to investigate the people he encountered before his imprisonment. He feels an inexplicable connection to Lin Ran and starts tracking her movements. Lu Yu, a rival of Jiang Chen, also notices Jiang Chen’s interest and begins his own surveillance, hoping to find a weakness to exploit. As the siblings continue their preparations, they face the challenge of acquiring enough resources while keeping their Dimension a secret. The family agrees to strict confidentiality, understanding that revealing their advantage could lead to betrayal and death, as happened in their previous life. With the apocalypse looming, Lin Ran is determined to protect her family and change their tragic fate, armed with foreknowledge and powerful abilities.
