The story takes place in a modern city that seems to be prosperous but hides many dark sides of human nature. There are obvious differences in social classes, and people are chasing their own interests in a materialistic environment. Xiong Yufang and Xiao Xue meet against this backdrop, each of them harboring unknown secrets and desires, struggling with complicated relationships and life's dilemmas, and ultimately coming to a tragic end.
