Her daily routine involves attending classes, managing her streaming schedule, and navigating university social dynamics with her best friend Guan Shuang and roommates Xia Beier and Xie Jing. The story begins with a minor conflict when Yin Siyu oversleeps and arrives late to Professor Yu Feng’s strict French lecture. Instead of severe punishment, she is assigned to write a five-thousand-word self-reflection in French, which she completes with impressive proficiency, earning the professor’s reluctant approval.

The central narrative shift occurs when Yin Siyu encounters Nan Feng, the university’s renowned "Academic Star," in the library. Nan Feng is widely perceived as aloof and untouchable, with a reputation for rejecting all romantic advances. Yin Siyu, unaware of his full legend, sits beside him and inadvertently blocks his exit while studying. Nan Feng, however, finds himself unusually captivated by her focus and natural demeanor. He allows her to remain unaware that he knows her name from her notebook and deliberately chooses not to disturb her. This encounter sparks a forum scandal when photos of the two are posted online, labeling Yin Siyu as a mysterious girlfriend. Their online interactions reveal a playful dynamic, with Nan Feng using the alias to get closer to her while she remains unaware of his true identity. Meanwhile, Yin Siyu is recruited by Professor Yu to represent the Foreign Languages Department in an All-Staff Language Competition, joining Su Shaonian, a childhood friend who harbors unrequited feelings for her, and Tao Qiye, Guan Shuang’s boyfriend.

As the story progresses, romantic tensions escalate. Su Shaonian’s persistent care and emotional vulnerability contrast with Nan Feng’s possessive and jealous behavior. Nan Feng becomes visibly irritated when he sees Yin Siyu dining with Su Shaonian and later when she attends a Jay Chou concert with Su Shaonian, Guan Shuang, and Tao Qiye. Despite his initial reluctance to attend, Nan Feng purchases a ticket and joins the group, where he physically protects Yin Siyu from a crowd surge, further angering Su Shaonian. The concert outing ends with Yin Siyu and Guan Shuang getting drunk, leading to a hotel stay where Nan Feng, Su Shaonian, and Tao Qiye must care for the unconscious girls. The narrative concludes with Yin Siyu waking up in the hotel, unaware of the complex web of jealousy and hidden identities that now binds her to Nan Feng, setting the stage for further romantic development and the eventual revelation of his true self.
