Xu Chunian, an eighteen-year-old college student, wakes up in a luxurious villa after confessing her feelings to her crush, Jiang Huaixu. Initially believing she has transmigrated into a novel, she discovers through her ID and phone that she has actually traveled six years into the future, to the year 2023. She inhabits the body of her twenty-four-year-old self, who is married to a man named Qin Yuan and has a young daughter named Zhuzhu. The original owner of the body appears to have suffered a mental breakdown, abandoning her wealthy husband and child to pursue an affair with Qin Yuan, a man far inferior to Jiang Huaixu in status and wealth. Xu Chunian is shocked to learn that she and Jiang Huaixu are married and that her daughter is the result of that union.

Seeking answers, Xu Chunian contacts her best friend, Shen Qingli, who is now a successful comic artist. Shen Qingli reveals the grim reality of the past six years: after giving birth, Xu Chunian became increasingly unstable and abusive toward her daughter, Zhuzhu, who has not spoken since the age of one and a half. The bruises on Zhuzhu’s body were inflicted by her mother. Xu Chunian is horrified by the actions of her future self and resolves to redeem herself. She meets Jiang Huaixu, who is cold, distant, and deeply resentful toward her. He refuses to let her near Zhuzhu, viewing her as a danger to their child. Despite his hostility, Xu Chunian remains determined to win back her family.

Xu Chunian visits her parents, who are estranged from her due to her obsession with Qin Yuan. Her father, Xu Zhen, and mother, Bai Hui, are wary but notice a change in her demeanor. She claims to have suffered from postpartum depression and a nightmare, asking for a chance to make amends. Her parents reluctantly allow her to spend time with Zhuzhu, who is currently staying with them. Xu Chunian gently interacts with her daughter, who is terrified of her but slowly begins to trust her. She feeds Zhuzhu, plays with her, and shows maternal affection, contrasting sharply with the abuse the child endured in the past.

A pivotal moment occurs when Xu Chunian takes Zhuzhu to her parents' home, and Jiang Huaixu arrives to pick them up. The family dynamic is tense, but Xu Chunian’s gentle care for Zhuzhu impresses her parents. Later, Xu Chunian accompanies Jiang Huaixu and Zhuzhu to visit his family. The Jiang family is elitist and disdainful of Xu Chunian. Jiang Huaixu’s father, Jiang Mingqian, criticizes Zhuzhu’s manners and looks down on Xu Chunian’s lack of social standing. Jiang Huaixu’s stepmother, Lan Yueying, and half-sister, Lan Xin, are openly hostile. Lan Xin taunts Xu Chunian, accusing her of being vain and seeking attention. Xu Chunian snaps back, insulting Lan Xin’s hypocrisy and calling her a gold digger. The argument escalates until Jiang Huaixu intervenes, defending his wife and child. He tells his father that he will not tolerate disrespect toward his family and storms out with Xu Chunian and Zhuzhu, marking a significant shift in his attitude.

Despite the progress with her daughter and the unexpected support from Jiang Huaixu, Xu Chunian faces ongoing challenges. She learns that Jiang Huaixu’s success is partly motivated by his desire to provide a better life for her, yet she has betrayed his trust repeatedly. She also discovers that Shen Qingli is in a loveless marriage of convenience with Huo Jinnian, a powerful businessman. Xu Chunian continues to navigate her new reality, trying to repair the damage caused by her previous self while uncovering the truth behind her sudden transformation. She writes notes to her future self, urging her not to lose her friends and family again. The story follows her journey of redemption as she strives to become the mother and wife she should have been, all while dealing with the complex emotions of a husband who is beginning to see a glimmer of hope in her change.

All 4 Novels this week are bad, but this one is the worse. As always you have an immature MC who is despised every chapter. If the world were really to work like that, there wouldn't be any blacksmith/shopkeeper/youngsters in this novel's world. And why do we have 4 books of 40 chapters while before we had 5 of 60?
