This is indeed one of my all-time favorite reads, which is why I've taken it upon myself to revise the entire series to give it the recognition it deserves. You can find the rewritten versions of chapters 1 to 66 on Re:Library, though the project is still ongoing.
The story's concept, while not entirely unique, captivates me with its seamless execution. Initially, the characters are immersed in their game as usual, but gradually, they start experiencing extraordinary sensations, like heightened senses, that hint at something beyond ordinary. The transition to the alternate world feels so natural that they initially dismiss it as a new update, attributing it to the game's mechanics. Our protagonist, for instance, wakes up 30 years ahead, embodying their ideal female avatar crafted from a vanity case – a paid item enabling character customization.
Caught in this bewildering situation, the protagonist questions reality. Everything around them appears authentic – the grass, the atmosphere, even NPCs exhibit human emotions. The familiarity of the surroundings, save for the missing three decades, leaves them utterly confused. To add to the intrigue, their original male avatar has become a legendary figure!
Driven by curiosity, she embarks on a quest to reunite with her initial companions, hoping they can shed light on the circumstances. However, what awaits her is a series of revelations and unexpected twists that promise to challenge her understanding of this extraordinary world.
