It gradually unfolds the world, layer by layer, ensuring it feels immersive without being overwhelming. Each region has its distinct atmosphere, ranging from bustling cities to tranquil villages and紧张的 military bases. The main character's growth is portrayed authentically and engagingly throughout. The only minor issue lies in occasional excessive descriptions of their cuteness. If you're seeking an epic tale with well-developed characters, a captivating plot filled with mystery and action, and excellent translation (like Re:Library's), this is definitely worth checking out.

As for the translation, while there aren't major issues, numerous minor errors accumulate, creating an irritating reading experience. Inconsistent verb tenses, jumbled word order, and confusing sentences compound the already mediocre narrative. The translator's attempt at witty chapter titles comes across as forced and grating, especially when they all end with ellipses. It would be better to retain the original, unexciting titles.

I understand my harsh critique may seem unnecessary given my clear dissatisfaction, but I don't harbor hatred. The potential of the concept is evident, but it seems the author and translator deliberately chose to undermine it. My disappointment stems from their missed opportunities. Despite my grievances, I acknowledge their efforts. In essence, this story could have been enjoyable if not for the unfortunate alignment of my personal dislikes in light novel creation and translation.

Instead of using their English equivalents, they opted for the Japanese terms, such as "Hebi" (translated as Snake) and "Sasori" (translated as Scorpion). This might apply to other character names as well, affecting even the title of one chapter, which should be "Scorpion of the Hidden" rather than "Sasori Of The Hidden."

The novel is highly entertaining, but the translation quality is disappointing. A key characteristic of the main character lies in their unique speaking style, reminiscent of old-fashioned English with an air of wisdom befitting a venerable noble. Unfortunately, this distinct aspect is utterly lost in the translation, which significantly detracts from the enjoyment of their interactions with other characters. The discrepancy between their words and actions, known as "gap moe," is notably absent, making the reading experience less engaging.

The familiarity of the surroundings, save for the missing three decades, leaves them utterly confused. To add to the intrigue, their original male avatar has become a legendary figure!

Driven by curiosity, she embarks on a quest to reunite with her initial companions, hoping they can shed light on the circumstances. However, what awaits her is a series of revelations and unexpected twists that promise to challenge her understanding of this extraordinary world.

The narrative up until now has been devoid of a coherent plot, consisting mainly of exposition and the musings of a girl (or perhaps a young man or wise sage). The events and dialogue shared in Chapter 8 pale in comparison, serving as mere padding and insignificant background details. If you seek an engaging storyline, this might not be your choice. However, the translation is commendable, offering a smooth reading experience, which I would rate with an additional star.

As a raw reader, I wouldn't consider this series a top favorite, perhaps ranking just a notch below. Briefly put, it revolves around VRMMO players being gradually transferred to a real-life replica of their game. The protagonist appears decades later, having controlled a summoner akin to Gandalf in-game. However, due to an accident, they end up in a young girl's body. Their guild had created a player-administered nation, which faces challenges in the real world, driving the storyline. The MC embarks on a quest to locate their lost friends to save the nation.

What stands out is the meticulous attention to detail and world-building. Four years have passed since the series started, yet the MC has only discovered a few companions, resulting in occasional pacing issues but also a genuine sense of adventure that few other series achieve. The summoner abilities, including a unique blend of magic and martial arts, are intriguing as the author explores their capabilities in the real world, with action scenes providing entertainment.

While I find the early parts somewhat weak, I believe the series improves later on. I hope for a complete translation someday. Translating this series poses a challenge due to the MC's distinct,老年 Japanese speech patterns, which can be tricky to convey smoothly in English.

Honestly, it would be more interesting if the charming loli portrayed the character's eccentricities more like an actual老人, rather than just maintaining a surface-level elderly figure of speech.
