I believe this is the most captivating reverse harem story I've come across. If you appreciate a Yandere protagonist with an obsessive and complex male lead, this is definitely for you. The narrative strikes a perfect balance of humor and melancholy, with a surprising twist where the character's actions turn out to be an act. The main character stands out as delightful, as they exhibit wit and cunning, which is quite refreshing.

Firstly, I must say that if this novel hadn't involved transmigration and the protagonist's journey, it would've been unbearable due to its clichéd elements. Thankfully, the plot twists and engaging storytelling save it. The author executes these cliches effectively, albeit causing a headache at times.

However, her true personality becomes clearer as the story progresses. She's incredibly intelligent and it's enjoyable to watch her strategize and outmaneuver the love interests, including the male leads (MLs) and female lead (FL).

It's important to note that many of the MLs exhibit toxic behavior, especially regarding dubious consent, which might be a concern for some readers. Su Shi is the exception, as he remains relatively harmless. The FL's character was decent but her arc was brief, and her questionable actions during the office arc affected my view. Despite this, she had her moments.

The MC faced numerous hardships, often dying multiple times before reaching the climax, which speaks to her resilience but also hints at potential mental strain. The final arc felt rushed, with the last two MLs seemingly falling in love too quickly. I wished Pei Yan had more screen time.

Overall, despite its flaws, the novel provided a satisfying read, if somewhat tragic. The ending left me pondering, as after the MC returns to her real world, all the MLs commit suicide at the site of her previous death. In her dreams, she visits an alternate reality where everyone is happy, but the plotline takes a haunting turn. I would definitely revisit this book, and I'd recommend it as a light, time-consuming read that I completed within two days.
