[WSA 2024 Entry]
Everyone is playing a regal game. Everyone except Lucia, who probably should be.
After her father faced accusations of attempting to usurp the throne from his own father and king, he was exiled along with his family. They were stripped of their royal status, but his wife refused to accept this new reality. Leveraging her friendship with the queen of Vershia, she sought to restore her family's standing. Her two older daughters were of the perfect age to marry the two princes, and she was determined to see these matches made.
This plan hit a snag when the crown prince overlooked the eldest daughter, instead forming a close friendship with the youngest girl, Lucia. There was still hope; Lucia could become the future queen. However, Lucia was not prepared for this role. She did not want the type of marriage that had been arranged for her sister. She did not wish to marry a man who was intended for another.
But plans often go awry. Lucia never intended to fall in love with the crown prince, yet here she was: an unwilling player in the regal games. Would she capture the crown? How would this affect her relationship with her sister? Could she ever please her mother?
