In 1970, Su Wan lives a peaceful life in Dahe Village as a teacher and the daughter of the production team leader. She is engaged to Han Rui, a battalion commander in the army, and looks forward to a stable future with her family. However, her world is upended when a train arrives carrying educated youths, including Liu Rongrong, a woman who has transmigrated into the novel Su Wan once read.
