Hey, I'm not particularly fond of this novel. To be honest, I'm feeling quite disillusioned with the main character (MC). The male lead (ML) is decent in my opinion, though.
Regarding the MC, initially, I found her likable, but my admiration has been waning as I progress. Initially, she was amusing, but later on, her behavior grated on my nerves. I expected that her constant interactions with the ML in various parallel worlds would foster some genuine feelings between them. However, every time she leaves a world, she quickly moves on, barely reflecting on her experiences. It's as if those encounters were never significant.
Moreover, there's almost no character development; she remains static throughout. As someone meant to inherit her father's company, I expected her to exhibit maturity and independence, but she comes across as childish, stubborn, and emotionally immature. Her actions, like impulsively kissing the ML to steal his life force and then fainting due to rapid world transitions, frustrate me.
The system is another sore point – it's incredibly annoying, and I'd love to see it disappear. Reading the story, you'll understand why I feel this way.
In terms of the ML, he's just average to me – not exceptional, but not terrible either. His portrayal in different worlds seems more appealing than his real-life personality, which is rather平淡.
Overall, the novel lacks spark for me. I genuinely dislike it. While I initially enjoyed it, the repetitive and monotonous nature has made it tiresome. The translation is fantastic, and there are a few enjoyable storylines, so maybe I'll revisit some parts in the future, but I won't re-read the entire thing.
