Picking Up Trash in Another World and Bringing It Back to the Apocalypse to Build Infrastructure

Sang Chu is an ordinary woman without supernatural abilities in the 3934th year of the Apocalypse. She and her childhood friend Lin Muxue struggle to survive under the tyrannical rule of Zhao Feng, the base leader who exploits his position for personal gain. When Zhao Feng discovers their plan to flee, he orchestrates a trap during a zombie-clearing mission. Sang Chu is bombed and impaled, left for dead. Simultaneously, Zhao Feng captures Lin Muxue, intending to assault her. However, an invisible ally named Lu Minfeng intervenes, killing Zhao Feng. Unbeknownst to them, Zhao Feng’s body begins to reanimate as a zombie due to unknown mutations.

Upon waking, Sang Chu discovers she has been transported to a different dimension by Tu You, a sentient rabbit spirit and the conductor of a time-space train. The train requires a ticket holder to operate, and since the original purchaser died, Sang Chu was chosen as the replacement. She is given one month to earn ten million star coins to purchase Tu You’s freedom and secure her own return ticket. If she fails, she will be annihilated by the laws of spacetime. This world, known as the Monsterized World, is filled with mutated creatures that are immune to light-based energy weapons, the primary form of technology here.

Sang Chu awakens in a hospital in A-City, rescued by Zuo Xuefeng, the captain of a mercenary squad. She is treated with kindness by Zuo Xuefeng and Hua Xi, a receptionist at the Mercenary Guild, who provide her with equipment and a temporary residence. Sang Chu discovers that her near-death experience triggered the awakening of multiple abilities, including wind, earth, metal, wood, fire, and water. She learns that her unique metal ability can create gold, which is extremely valuable in this world. To survive and earn money, she ventures into the wilderness to hunt mutated creatures, utilizing her diverse elemental powers and primitive weapons like bamboo spears, which prove effective against creatures immune to light energy.

During her hunts, Sang Chu encounters Zuo Xuefeng’s squad, who are trapped by a mutated frog. She saves them, revealing her combat prowess and the effectiveness of non-light-based weapons. Impressed and grateful, the squad treats her with respect and camaraderie, a stark contrast to the betrayal she suffered in the Apocalypse. Sang Chu forms a partnership with Dr. Li, a researcher who values Sang Chu’s metal ability for weapon development. They agree on a trade: Sang Chu provides gold and mutated creatures, and Dr. Li supplies her with advanced technology, food, water, and a construction device.

As her time in the Monsterized World draws to a close, Sang Chu accumulates sufficient wealth and resources. She purchases a space anchor to store supplies and buys a mental cultivation manual to strengthen her spirit for future interdimensional travel. Just as she prepares to return, the Otherworld Train arrives. She uses her newfound abilities and resources to rescue Lin Muxue and Lu Minfeng from Zhao Feng, who has survived and turned into a powerful zombie. Sang Chu brings them back to the Monsterized World temporarily before returning to the Apocalypse with a hovercar, ample food, water, weapons, and a construction device.

Back in the Apocalypse, Sang Chu establishes a new base for herself and her friends. She continues to hunt for valuable materials to exchange for resources, aiming to become a spacetime traveler capable of bringing others to safety. The story concludes with Sang Chu having transformed from a helpless survivor into a powerful ability user with the means to protect her loved ones and potentially escape the harsh realities of the Apocalypse.
