to give a more constructive answer to you, harems are sh*t, and romance is almost always never done well in light novels, only western novels have a consistent formula for decent romance

The thing that the novel lacks is world building. Throughout the novel people are referred as grandpa or elder but they don’t clarify their cultivation levels. For god sake I am in chapter 200 and they haven’t clarify the cultivation levels of that world.
