When the creatures advanced, the world was doomed to oblivion. Only ruins of cities and lost souls remained, struggling to survive the inevitable. However, Cosmic Energy brought with it a gift as enigmatic as it was dangerous: a power capable of saving the last survivors or condemning them for good.

Dante never wanted to be a hero. Trained by his parents to face a future that crumbled before it arrived, he learned that survival requires more than courage – it demands sacrifice. Now, thrust into the Capital with the enigmatic warning *don’t be the protagonist*, he finds himself at the center of a conflict larger than he ever imagined, where ancient secrets and relentless enemies test his every step.

Amid improbable alliances and desperate battles, Dante will need to uncover the true cost of survival. And as he explores the limits of a world he no longer recognizes, he will learn that the greatest challenge isn’t fighting the creatures that devastated Earth.

In a game where salvation and destruction are just a step apart, Dante will have to decide not only how to fight – but what to fight for.

Follow the story of one who had never tasted victory before.

The only good thing is the idea of trading and others are absolute dumb garbage. You guys wanna know what’s dumber ? This trash is actually chosen even tho there are trail novels many times better than this. Who even reads generic cultivation trash with MC worshipping pusy in this day and age ?

Okay so I really like Gourmet of Another world type stories and from the summary I thought that the mc would be feeding literal ghosts on the side, ya know, like a supernatural horror cooking thing in modern times. Spoiler. It’s not. Very sad. Anyway the story is pretty much placed in a Food Wars parody. Which is sort of cringe in my opinion. They use the same characters and stuff like the school and gourmet associations etc. The MC (a bit like Soma from Foodwars) has a small family restaurant run by his gramps- except the old man literally didn’t teach him how to cook until like a day after he got his cooking system. The cooking system is pretty straightforward- be the best- and it seems a lot more versatile and useful than some other systems but not too OP. Unlike Food Wars MC doesn’t want to go to the fancy cook school and just wants to run the restaurant. I quite like MC’s personality which is far more active than Bu Fang’s from Gourmet of Another World. He seems more positive and it’s clear that he’s quite hardworking. I’ve read more than I thought I would because I don’t mind seeing his journey as a chef but... the Food Wars references which I thought was a fun easter egg at first became a full blown thing and I don’t know, it’s like meh to me. I’ll keep it around 4* since the pacing isn’t bad, the mc is like able enough, the cooking description is very good and if you can get over the food war thing overall it’s a good read to pass the time....I still want a supernatural cooking story in the modern world tho QAQ
