Cyrus "Shade" Voss is a broker in Nexus, dealing in information, artifacts, and favors in the hidden underbelly of the city. He is also a Gnosis user, though a reluctant one. Haunted by a past tragedy tied to the Gnosis Network, Shade only uses his abilities sparingly, preferring to rely on his wit and network of contacts.
However, when a mysterious artifact surfaces, capable of destabilizing the Gnosis Network, Shade finds himself dragged into a dangerous game. Factions within Nexus vie for control of the artifact, each with their own agenda, and Shade must confront his past and master his abilities if he hopes to protect the city from descending into chaos. As he delves deeper, he uncovers a conspiracy that reaches into the highest echelons of power, forcing him to question his loyalties and make choices that could shatter the fragile balance between the layers of reality.
