Once upon a time, there was a young man named Kaneki Higanbana, who possessed a unique heritage - half-human and half-demon. As children, he shared close bonds with three girls: Shino Tanaka, his childhood friend; Yuuka Mirai, his best friend; and Miku Higanbana/Tachibana, his stepsister. However, in high school, a change occurred when all three developed feelings for a charismatic boy named Ryueki Itadori.
This newfound affection led to Kaneki being pushed away, causing a rift that widened over time. One fateful day, Kaneki crossed paths with Ryueki's childhood crush, Natsuki Mizutani, who had a special ability - she could see the "soul color" of others. Despite her connection to Ryueki, Natsuki found herself drawn to Kaneki's plight and decided to befriend him, unaware of his complicated past.
Feeling sympathetic for Kaneki's isolation, Natsuki vowed to bring happiness back into his life, keeping his identity a secret. Meanwhile, Shino, Yuuka, and Miku, burdened by guilt over their actions, began their journey to mend their relationships with him, hoping to heal the emotional wounds they had inflicted.
Thus, a clandestine friendship blossomed between Kaneki and Natsuki, while the three former friends sought redemption, weaving together a tale of forgiveness, friendship, and the complexities of human emotions.
