My Little Sister is the Dragon Empress

Zhao Wuming is a human race student at an inter-species academy where humans rank last among the Top Ten Races. He lives with his younger sister Long Xiaoxiao, a dragon clan student known for her beauty and mischievous personality. Their ordinary life is disrupted when Zhao Wuming witnesses the murder of Senior Bai, a top human student, whose heart is removed from her body. The killer escapes, and Zhao Wuming is nearly attacked by Long Mo, a dragon clan male who harbors resentment toward him for pursuing Xiaoxiao.

Chief Inspector Lu, an intelligent machinery race officer, intervenes and reveals himself to be Zhao Wuming's deskmate Lu Renjia, who had been cosplaying as the legendary inspector. Together they investigate the Heart-Gouger murders that have plagued the school. Zhao Wuming discovers that Long Mo's family possesses a fragment of the legendary Dragon-Slaying Blade, a weapon that once suppressed the dragon clan during the Third Race War. Xiaoxiao confesses to Zhao Wuming that she disguised herself as a ghost to frighten Long Mo, using the blade fragment and high-tech equipment to expose his guilt in connection with the death of Aiwen, an angel clan girl Long Mo had abandoned and caused to die.

The story shifts to Xiaoxiao's birthday celebration at a luxury mall where a golden-green cat's-eye gemstone is on display. Zhao Wuming and Fatty Lu notice a beastman taxi driver who had picked them up earlier, suspecting foul play. Their suspicions prove correct when the driver and five accomplices, including a bribed security captain, stage a robbery at the auction venue. They take hostages and demand valuables while Fatty Lu is captured and locked in a restroom.

During the robbery, the beastman driver targets Xiaoxiao, intending to kidnap her for ransom due to her dragon clan status. Zhao Wuming pretends to cooperate to protect his sister. In a series of tactical moves, Zhao Wuming exploits the darkness by repeatedly cutting the power, using his knowledge of the layout to ambush the robbers one by one. He disables the beastman driver and other accomplices through hand-to-hand combat, while the security captain attempts to escape via rope from the rooftop but falls to his death.

The incident reveals deeper conspiracies involving cross-race criminal networks and corruption within the academy's security apparatus. President Deguna, the undead student council president, oversees the aftermath and assigns Zhao Wuming and Fatty Lu to continue their investigations. The story establishes a world where racial hierarchy dictates social status, with humans facing discrimination despite individual capabilities. Zhao Wuming's relationship with Xiaoxiao deepens as he protects her from various threats, while his growing feelings for President Deguna create romantic tension. The Dragon-Slaying Blade fragments remain a central mystery, with legends suggesting they hold secrets about species origins and the future of all races.

Long Mo's family emerges as a powerful force within the dragon clan, connected to both the blade fragments and the criminal activities. The narrative sets up ongoing conflicts between racial prejudices, personal vendettas, and larger conspiracies threatening the academy's stability. Zhao Wuming's human perspective allows him to see through racial biases, while his investigative skills prove valuable in uncovering truths that other races overlook.
