Her quiet life is disrupted when two players from the Infinite World, a dimension where individuals are forced to complete deadly instances to survive, accidentally stumble into her shop while escaping a horror-themed dungeon called Guangming Primary School. These players, Kong Yu and Xu Wenzi, are compelled by system prompts to purchase Incense Paper Money from Xi Mufu, trading valuable skills and items for the paper offerings. Upon leaving the shop, they discover that the Incense Paper Money has a miraculous effect on the instance's NPCs, distracting them with its scent and allowing the players to evade pursuit and ultimately clear the dungeon with zero casualties.

Following this transaction, Xi Mufu receives system notifications indicating she has acquired the items and skills traded by the players, including [Object Retrieval] and [Talisman-making]. Initially confused, she tests these abilities in the real world. Simultaneously, she acquires a [Planting Skill] from another visitor, Pu Yunfeng, a vice president of a major guild in the Infinite World. This skill allows for the rapid growth of crops in any soil condition, prompting a collaboration with agricultural experts to test its potential for solving food shortages. Throughout these events, Xi Mufu remains grounded, viewing her supernatural gifts as tools to help others and improve her community, while Ji Jiu and other Xuanxue practitioners work to protect her and manage the intersection between the mundane world and the Infinite World.
