Usually, I find things like check-in or top-up novels uninteresting since the protagonist doesn’t really have to do much to get resources and rewards from the system. However, I found myself pleasantly surprised by this one.
The MC actually has some personality, which is a nice change. To be honest, I find his personality to be a bit grating, but he’s at least a little bit different from the bland, unfeeling MCs that seem to be common.
The best thing about this novel is the storyline. Even though the system isn’t that interesting, the different arcs have been unique and a decent read. Maybe that’s a low bar, but it’s much better than all those copy/pasted stories that rehash all the same plot points.
