Zhou Qiqiu, a woman from the modern era, transmigrates into the body of a twenty-year-old girl with the same name in 1982. At the base, Zhou Qiqiu is nearly detained by security until Shen Huaichuan returns from his mission. He publicly acknowledges her as his wife, silencing Auntie Qiu and the security chief. Despite his cold exterior, Shen reveals a softer side by carrying Zhou Qiqiu home on his back after she injures her feet. He hands over his savings, indicating a willingness to support her, though he sleeps in a separate room. She transforms Shen’s barren, military-style home into a cozy living space, decorating it with flowers and fabrics. Meanwhile, Shen’s mother, Zhou Shuhua, grows suspicious of the sudden change in her son’s behavior and the identity of his new wife, deciding to investigate Lin Yao’s involvement. The story follows Zhou Qiqiu as she builds a life with Shen Huaichuan, navigating the social politics of the military compound while uncovering the truths behind the scandals that brought them together.
