The pure desire for a compelling character to grow stronger is evident, but I can't help but notice the connection to reincarnation novels, like this one seems to borrow from. What's the ultimate goal behind it all? In reincarnation stories, a key theme is humanity's weakness and self-destruction, where the protagonist transforms society to face off against cosmic powers. However, in this context, we're dealing with incomprehensible eldritch beings that tower inhabitants struggle to grasp. The main character's plan boils down to simple strength-seeking, without a clear objective.

Additionally, the tower tutorial giving an outsider's egg raises curiosity – could it be a defense mechanism by the tower or a genuine egg? Chapter progression hasn't reached the hatching yet, leaving that question open. While over 135 chapters exist, creating an account seems unnecessary for me at this point.

Nonetheless, it's been an enjoyable read.

I double-checked the authors to confirm, but this novel feels like an indirect continuation of "Second Life Ranker" in several aspects:

1. Both main characters possess extraordinary knowledge about the tower's secrets, allowing them to exploit it for their benefit, though their methods differ slightly.
2. They breeze through the tutorial, collecting items and accomplishing seemingly impossible tasks, attracting admirers who eventually become important figures in the story.
3. Both narratives feature divine societies inspired by real-world mythologies (like Olympus and Asgard), populated by deities from those myths acting as players who've achieved godhood within the tower. The fact that these mythological beings exist unchallenged seems to be a given in both universes.
4. The main characters share a similar skillset and alignment, with overlapping item names and skill descriptions, although SLR took much longer to develop this aspect.
5. Even the ultimate goal appears to be the same: battling the gods from outside the tower.

While the novel is not inherently flawed, it appears to be a retread of SLR to the point of being unoriginal. I'm still giving it a chance, hoping for significant deviations from the source material, as I don't wish to read a simplified version of a book I'm already engaged with.

To begin with, I'd rate it closer to a 4.5 rather than a full 5, but since the scale doesn't allow for that precision, I'll settle for what I have. I appreciate that the protagonist's return to the past was adequately justified – unlike some others who needed to de-power themselves for the tutorial – and he didn't rely on overpowered abilities or classes. His progress relies on his intelligence, future memories, and practical skills acquired through hard work or necessity, such as combat techniques and overcoming fear. So far, he hasn't been resorting to stealing others' accomplishments from the past, instead focusing on gathering resources for future challenges. Yes, he's fortunate, but his luck comes from plausible situations like stumbling upon a dungeon, a违规 underling, and a lenient administrator, each event individually plausible.

The story lacks depth for detailed analysis of plot or character growth at this stage, and while the initial setup might be clichéd, it doesn't guarantee a repetitive narrative. The quality of the story is solid, and the pacing feels natural. Characters react realistically to the circumstances, which I consider a positive aspect.

As for the translation, I've had positive experiences with this team translating manhwa before, and their reliability, consistency, and speed in delivering high-quality content are commendable. Translation quality doesn't significantly impact my rating, but so far, it has met my expectations.

- Translation quality deteriorated after chapter 80, with frequent gender errors by chapter 110 and inconsistent name usage, such as Hephaestus vs. Hefestos, Sun OhGong (an annoyance), Sun Wukong, and character name switches like Ash Eyes to Cinder Eyes or Holy Fire to Sacred Fire.
- Combat scenes were a weak point, marred by poor translation and repetitive, formulaic descriptions, akin to Pokemon-style exchanges.
- Lack of excitement: The one-sentence paragraphs became tiresome, draining the energy from intense fight scenes.

By chapter 220, the narrative became excessively self-indulgent, with repetitive reminders about Son Ohgong's arrival, which felt overly corny and diminished the overall charm of the story.

Yes, I won't deny that there are similarities with Second Life Ranker, but the storyline is significantly different. Although the characters might share some traits, their motivations, accomplishments, enemies, and friendships all stand apart from SLR. Frankly, I found the comedy in this series more enjoyable than SLR.
