Luo Tiancheng is a struggling game streamer burdened by a rare, terminal illness and a crushing family debt. Facing a two-month prognosis and financial ruin, he attempts suicide by jumping from a mountain. Instead of dying, he survives and discovers a mysterious smartphone that has bound itself to his fingerprint. The device hosts an app called "Lengthen Life," which grants him additional days of survival in exchange for completing bizarre missions. The primary tasks involve kissing various individuals, including a famous singer named Xiao Yibo and a top-tier professional gamer known as "So Handsome It's Beyond Help." Luo Tiancheng accepts this supernatural bargain to survive, despite the humiliating and intrusive nature of the requirements.

His first major mission leads him to sneak into Xiao Yibo's restroom at a concert and kiss the sleeping singer. Although he escapes detection, Xiao Yibo's assistant discovers the intrusion and forces Luo Tiancheng to compensate by coaching the star in the game "Battlefield Heroes." Through this arrangement, Luo Tiancheng reconnects with the game and encounters the player "So Handsome It's Beyond Help," whose real identity is He Yinhui, a retired professional player and Luo Tiancheng's former idol. Luo Tiancheng develops an immediate, intense crush on He Yinhui, driven both by genuine attraction and the urgent need to complete the app's kissing missions.

Luo Tiancheng befriends He Yinhui, and their relationship deepens through late-night gaming sessions. He Yinhui invites Luo Tiancheng to stay over, but Luo Tiancheng's attempts to kiss him are fraught with anxiety and moral conflict. He eventually succeeds in kissing He Yinhui while the latter sleeps, gaining valuable Game Coins. However, his emotional confusion peaks when he enters He Yinhui's dreamscape using a purchased "Dream Connection" item. In the dream, Luo Tiancheng learns that He Yinhui is gay but is rejected when Luo Tiancheng confesses his feelings too hastily. He Yinhui interprets the dream encounter as shallow and distances himself, leaving Luo Tiancheng heartbroken and isolated.

A car accident caused by a drunk driver leaves Luo Tiancheng with a fractured leg, landing him in the hospital under the care of a calm emergency room doctor named Qin Yue. The app assigns him a new mission to kiss Doctor Qin, forcing Luo Tiancheng to enter the doctor's dreamscape to complete the task stealthily. During this process, he discovers that Doctor Qin possesses knowledge of Luo Tiancheng's past, including a previous terminal diagnosis that inexplicably vanished. Qin Yue hints at a deeper connection between them, suggesting that Luo Tiancheng's identity or history is more complex than he realizes.

As Luo Tiancheng navigates his recovery, he continues to stream and rebuild his career with He Yinhui's support, though their relationship remains strained. Meanwhile, Xiao Yibo becomes increasingly aggressive in the dreamscape, misinterpreting Luo Tiancheng's initial kiss as romantic interest and attempting to force intimacy. Luo Tiancheng must balance his growing affection for He Yinhui, the predatory advances of Xiao Yibo, and the mysterious surveillance of Doctor Qin, all while racing against his dwindling lifespan to uncover the true origin and purpose of the Life-Extending App.
