He's present, but doesn't actively participate in her quest to find the assassin – he's like a police officer who only shows up at the climax (because he's busy sulking, believing the MC hates him).
The MC herself is remarkable. She's straightforward and doesn't mince words. When faced with insults towards her family, she boldly responds, "You think I'd marry you just like that?" After identifying her attacker, she confronts them directly, asking, "Why did you want to kill me?" Despite multiple deaths, she decides to take matters into her own hands, attempting to escape on a stolen horse, which unsurprisingly fails.
