While trapped in the Fire Tomb, Mo Xiaoxing encounters a massive white peacock, a powerful demonic beast in human form who is severely injured by demonic energy. Despite Hanyan's warnings, Mo Xiaoxing chooses to help the beast, absorbing its toxic demonic energy using the Fire Essence from the magma. This act not only saves the peacock but also accelerates Mo Xiaoxing's cultivation, allowing her to break through to the fourth layer of Qi Refining in just twenty days. A symbiotic relationship forms between them; she helps him heal by drawing out the poison, while he provides her with knowledge of medicinal plants and alchemy, significantly enhancing her skills. As Bai Ze recovers, he offers to take Mo Xiaoxing as his apprentice, recognizing her potential. Bai Ze eventually departs after learning her master's identity, leaving Mo Xiaoxing alone in the tomb. She begins cultivating rare herbs, turning her confinement into an opportunity to build a foundation for her future. Her isolation ends when her Eldest Senior Brother, Nanshan Lü, arrives to retrieve her, bringing news that the Demon Realm seal has been breached and the sect is in turmoil.

Mo Xiaoxing returns to the front mountain, carrying a mysterious black egg she found in the tomb, which turns out to be the offspring of a high-level beast.
