Joy Found in a Hidden Alley

Xia Xunqian is a sickly nineteen-year-old illegitimate son of the wealthy Xia family, living in constant fear and disdain from his stepmother and half-siblings. His father, Old Master Xia, is dying and arranges for Xia Xunqian to be taken in by Feng Lin, the powerful and cold third master of the rival Feng family, in exchange for settling old debts. Xia Xunqian is brought to the Feng ancestral hall in the rain, where Feng Lin initially views him with disdain, seeing him as a fragile, useless burden.
