Song Shuxi, a skilled warrior from the fictional Great Yong Dynasty, commits suicide after exposing a corrupt imperial conspiracy that claimed her mother's life. Upon waking, she discovers she has transmigrated into the body of Song Shuqian, a twin sister living in 1968 China. She undergoes two blind dates arranged by her grandfather. Song Shuxi finds his approach transactional and emotionally distant. The second candidate is Wei Jianguo, a twenty-two-year-old battalion commander with a fierce, lone-wolf demeanor. The story concludes with the newlywed couple departing for their new life, with Song Shuxi determined to navigate the complexities of 1968 China while protecting her husband and preserving her family’s legacy from the shadows.
