Despite her desire for online education, she is admitted to the Federation First Military Academy, a prestigious institution where she must attend in person. Her parents, a high-ranking commander and a top pharmacologist, support her choice of the Mecha Department, a field she is passionate about despite lacking formal mentorship. During the entrance examination, Ke Yunyao reveals an SSS-level spiritual potential, a rarity that shocks the proctors. In the practical design segment, she modifies a standard A1-type mecha by enhancing its defense and creating unconventional weapons. Her inscriptions produce unexpected but highly effective results, transforming a laser sword into a fan-shaped energy field and an energy rifle into a multi-shot weapon. These achievements secure her a top ranking and admission to the elite Class 1 of the Mecha Department.

Upon arriving at the academy, Ke Yunyao is assigned to a dormitory with three senior students: Yan Wenling, a cheerful combat specialist; Somaya, a calm commander; and Lin Hui, the senior who oversaw her admission.
