In the Apocalypse, While Others Slash Zombies, I Feast on Gourmet Food in My RV

Meng Shiwan awakens in her custom-built recreational vehicle with three hours remaining before the global zombie outbreak. Having died in a previous timeline after being betrayed by her half-sister Meng Qingyue and her fiancé Gu Jinchen, she possesses detailed knowledge of the coming catastrophe. In her past life, the couple stole her RV on the first day of the apocalypse, leaving her to struggle alone until she was devoured by zombies. Determined to change her fate, Meng Shiwan drives to her family villa to retrieve her cat, Taxue, before the betrayal occurs. Upon arrival, she finds her father, stepmother, half-sister, and fiancé celebrating their secret marriage. Instead of the emotional breakdown they expect, Meng Shiwan coldly confronts them, beats Gu Jinchen and Meng Qingyue into submission, and drives away, leaving her family to face the impending doom without her.

With the outbreak imminent, Meng Shiwan spends her remaining time stockpiling essential supplies. She visits a large shopping mall, purchasing vast quantities of meat, rice, flour, cooking oil, salt, and bottled water. She also acquires medications, clothing, and pet supplies, utilizing the RV's extensive storage capacity and a newly discovered system that allows her to expand storage space using crystal cores obtained from zombies. Before the outbreak begins, she indulges in a final meal of her favorite foods, including braised crayfish and fried chicken, savoring the taste after years of starvation in her previous life. As noon strikes, chaos erupts outside. Zombies begin attacking civilians, and Meng Shiwan watches from the safety of her vehicle, which the RV System has rendered permanently immune to all damage, sound, and scent detection.

After the initial chaos settles, Meng Shiwan tests the RV's capabilities. She discovers that the vehicle can ram through obstacles and zombies without sustaining any damage, effectively turning it into an indestructible mobile fortress. She begins hunting zombies to collect crystal cores, which are necessary to expand the RV's storage dimensions. This discovery drives her to aggressively seek out more crystal cores, viewing zombie hunting as a means to secure her long-term survival.

Meng Shiwan encounters other survivors during her supply runs. She briefly interacts with Wei Ye, an outdoor equipment enthusiast, offering him survival advice in exchange for high-quality thermal gear. She also encounters Lin Qian, a supermarket employee who had helped her load supplies earlier. When a group of armed men attempt to steal her RV and supplies, Meng Shiwan kills their leader instantly, demonstrating her ruthless efficiency and deterring further aggression. She continues to stockpile food, including prepared meals and desserts, prioritizing quality of life alongside survival. The narrative establishes her isolation and self-reliance, as she refuses to form alliances or trust others, believing that morality is a liability in the new world order. Her primary goal is to survive comfortably with Taxue, using her knowledge of future events and the indestructible RV to build a secure existence away from the dangers that destroyed her previous life.
