Xia Ye, a woman with rare panda blood, endures twenty years of exploitation as a "mobile blood bag" for her younger twin sister, Xia Mingzhu, who suffers from aplastic anemia. Born into a family that favors the sickly Mingzhu, Xia Ye is treated as redundant and disposable by her parents and three brothers. She marries Bo Zhizhou, the cold CEO of the Bo Group, in a loveless arrangement. For three years, she serves as his nominal wife, enduring a sexless marriage while Bo Zhizhou publicly and privately prioritizes Mingzhu, leaving Xia Ye to suffer in silence. Her emotional breakdowns and desperate attempts to win his affection are met with indifference, and she is frequently forced to donate blood to save her sister’s life, all while her own health deteriorates.

The story begins with Xia Ye involved in a severe car accident caused by brake tampering, an act suspected to be revenge. Upon waking in the hospital, she suffers from amnesia and has no memory of her painful past. When Bo Zhizhou visits, he attempts to reconcile, claiming his closeness to Mingzhu is purely platonic and driven by her depression. However, Xia Ye, viewing him through the lens of a stranger, rejects his advances and slaps him when he forces a kiss. Confused by her sudden hostility, Bo Zhizhou is unaware that Xia Ye has accessed her old social media accounts and discovered the extent of her past suffering, including her feelings of being used and her despair over the marriage.

As Xia Ye recovers, she systematically severs her ties with her exploitative family. She blocks her parents and brothers, confronts them in the hospital, and threatens to expose their financial abuse if they continue to harass her. She also reconnects with her former friend, Wang Mengmeng, who had cut ties due to Xia Ye’s obsession with Bo Zhizhou. With Mengmeng’s support, Xia Ye asserts her independence, refusing further blood donations and demanding a divorce. Bo Zhizhou, panicked by her detachment, agrees to her terms: he must cease all blood transfusions for Mingzhu, respect her separation from the Xia family, and allow her the freedom to work. Despite his protests, Xia Ye remains unmoved, having forgotten the love she once held for him.

Xia Ye leaves the hospital and begins working at a real estate company owned by Mengmeng’s uncle, aiming to become a salesperson in a difficult market. Her determination surprises those around her, including Bo Zhizhou’s parents, who arrive unexpectedly to support her. Unlike Bo Zhizhou, who is distant and suspicious, the Bo elders treat Xia Ye with genuine warmth and affection, offering to buy her properties and support her career. This contrast highlights the complexity of Xia Ye’s situation: while her husband views her as a possession to be managed, his family values her well-being. Xia Ye navigates these new dynamics, using her identity as Mrs. Bo to establish financial independence while maintaining emotional distance from Bo Zhizhou. The narrative sets the stage for a shift in power, as Xia Ye, freed from her traumatic memories, begins to rebuild her life on her own terms, challenging the control Bo Zhizhou and her family once held over her.
