Despite its slower pace, the storytelling maintains a strong emotional depth, courtesy of the author who brought us "SSS Class Suicide Hunter," ensuring a well-written experience with poignant moments.

The depth of these characters evolves over time, with ongoing development beyond their initial introduction, rather than being reduced to mere plot devices. This isn't a tale of an endless hero saving the world; instead, it's a poignant exploration of the protagonist's failures and the numerous adventures and relationships he forms along the way, all captured within the title and summary. It centers on the protagonist's relentless efforts to save the world, no matter how absurd his endeavors may become, and the diverse cast of people he encounters and interacts with.

This is an exceptional work of art. I've never felt compelled to write a review for a story before, but this novel was so extraordinary that I couldn't resist sharing my thoughts. Initially, I was hesitant about the non-linear narrative, but I was delighted to discover how captivating it actually is. From the very beginning, I've been engrossed – I've been reading it voraciously for several days without losing interest.

The writing is outstanding; the more you read, the deeper the appreciation. There might be some minor details that seem incongruous at first, but they beautifully connect later on, creating a delightful sense of revelation. The foreshadowing is a particular highlight, adding to the overall enjoyment.

Characters in this novel are richly developed and intriguing; they evolve and grow on you. Each character is distinct with their own unique traits, making them hard to put down. Describing them without spoilers would be challenging, but suffice it to say, they're memorable.

I absolutely adore the protagonist, Undertaker. His approach to the surreal anomalies, his humor, resilience, wisdom, and even his imperfections make him a standout character. His eccentricities, given his long life and varied experiences, are endearing. He's easily become one of my all-time favorites – who else can regress for a cycle just to recover their mental state or run a supermarket amidst a post-apocalyptic world with socialist fairies? It's extraordinary!

The progression of the world, its technological advancements, evolving relationships, and the ominous presence of a certain entity that terrifies me – all these aspects are masterfully crafted.

The contrast between a world that relentlessly seeks to eradicate humans and the poignant moments of connection and love amidst impending doom is nothing short of breathtaking. I simply cannot praise this novel enough; my words fail to do it justice. It's a must-read without a doubt. My enthusiasm might come across as excessive, but believe me when I say it's a true masterpiece. I haven't experienced such joy in a literary work in a long time.

In conclusion, a resounding 5/5 – an absolute must-read.

What an intense, melancholic atmosphere! The protagonist sits in a café, savoring a coffee made by his deceased friend who now shares his despair for a hopeful future. Through the character's reflections, we delve into his 1183 potential memories – stories that have been lost in time, experienced by him alone, spanning tens of millennia for others. Each moment, though yet to unfold in reality, unfolds before us. Despite giving up on the world, the rare coffee tasting becomes a poignant reminder of his past.

I'm only at the beginning, but the promise and execution are impressive. The translation is top-notch, too. Thanks to WeTried Translations for their excellent work!
