Lin Yue Shu is a dedicated actor in the entertainment industry who values his reputation above all else. After attending a party where he accidentally offends a minor actor, he is drugged and wakes up in a hotel room with Huo Yi Sen, a powerful and wealthy representative of the Hain Group. The next morning, Huo Yi Sen leaves without explanation, offering only a suitcase containing 500,000 yuan as compensation. Confused and distressed, Lin Yue Shu discovers a note hinting at revenge related to someone named Ling Man. Upon researching his situation, he realizes he has transmigrated into a depraved novel titled "Little Beauty Becomes a Plaything," where he is destined to be exploited and humiliated by various men under the manipulation of his husband and the powerful Huo Yi Sen.
Determined to alter his tragic fate, Lin Yue Shu uses the money to make a donation to a welfare institute in Huo Yi Sen's name, hoping to establish a connection or gain favor. He identifies Huo Yi Sen as the key figure in the novel and decides to navigate his new reality with cunning and pragmatism. At the Weibo Night event, Lin Yue Shu encounters Director Zhou, a lecherous filmmaker who had previously assaulted the original protagonist in the novel. Instead of fleeing, Lin Yue Shu deliberately provokes a car accident involving Huo Yi Sen's vehicle to force an interaction. Huo Yi Sen, recognizing Lin Yue Shu from the previous night, pays for the damages and offers him a ride, revealing that he is aware of Lin Yue Shu's financial desperation and the nature of their encounter.
Back at the hotel, Lin Yue Shu is blackmailed by a paparazzi holding surveillance footage of his intimate moments with Huo Yi Sen. Huo Yi Sen intervenes, paying off the blackmailer and asserting control over the situation. He forces Lin Yue Shu to stay the night, during which their relationship remains tense and transactional. Lin Yue Shu returns home to his husband, Shao Cheng Yan, who is complicit in the original plot to exploit Lin Yue Shu. Shao Cheng Yan plans to send Lin Yue Shu to the Huo family estate during the Mid-Autumn Festival to be assaulted by the family's grotesque gardener, a scene from the novel.
At the Huo estate, Lin Yue Shu outsmarts the gardener by pushing him into a lake, thereby avoiding the planned assault. He then seeks out Huo Yi Sen in the greenhouse, where he attempts to negotiate a new arrangement. Lin Yue Shu proposes a betting agreement with his agency: if he can earn seven hundred million within a year, he will be free; if not, he will submit to the exploitation he currently fears. Simultaneously, he offers Huo Yi Sen a deal: one day spent together in exchange for their complete separation afterward. Huo Yi Sen accepts the terms, intrigued by Lin Yue Shu's unexpected resilience and strategic mind. As Lin Yue Shu begins his journey to change his fate, he remains acutely aware of the dangers posed by his husband, the original plot's villains, and the enigmatic Huo Yi Sen, whose true intentions remain unclear.
