Lin Jiu, a modern woman with poor historical knowledge, dies and is bound to a costume system that transports her to the Western Han Dynasty. However, due to a critical error in the summoning ritual, the soul of Liu Bang, the founding emperor of the Han Dynasty, is summoned instead. Recognizing Liu Bang’s immense political and spiritual significance, Lin Jiu adapts her strategy, claiming to be the Goddess of Cloud Mountain to establish dominance over the resurrected founder.

The narrative opens during the Winter Solstice ancestral rites. Liu Che, the young emperor, is performing rituals when the temple is struck by a supernatural wind. Liu Bang appears, creating a scene of divine intervention that shocks the court. Lin Jiu, posing as a deity, commands Liu Bang to kneel, thereby asserting her authority over the Han imperial lineage. She then approaches Liu Che, who is terrified by her otherworldly presence and the blood on the incense herbs she holds. In the imperial carriage, she heals his forehead wound using residual energy from a previous system she destroyed, an act that deepens his fear and confusion. Upon arriving at the Weiyang Palace, Lin Jiu demands the Greenhouse Palace, the emperor’s private residence, for her own use. This request is met with resistance from elderly ministers who view her influence as a threat to imperial authority.

The conflict escalates when an old minister attempts to block Liu Che’s path, pleading for the emperor not to yield his residence. Lin Jiu considers killing the minister but instead leverages Liu Bang’s presence. The founding emperor, initially reluctant, is compelled to act when he perceives Lin Jiu’s indifference and potential for violence. Liu Bang’s mere presence and authoritative aura cause the minister to collapse in terror, effectively neutralizing the opposition without bloodshed. This display of power secures Lin Jiu’s entry into the Greenhouse Palace, marking a significant shift in the balance of power within the court.

Later, during a night banquet, Lin Jiu is tasked with capturing the attention of the masses. She waits until nightfall before activating a massive visual effect, creating a blinding light that resembles a sunrise in the middle of the night. The spectacle is witnessed across the empire, from farmers to soldiers, all bowing in awe. This act not only fulfills her quest but also cements her status as a divine entity in the eyes of the public and the court. Liu Bang, witnessing the display, recognizes the futility of opposing her and fully submits to her will, acknowledging her as a being beyond mortal comprehension.

As the story progresses, Lin Jiu continues to navigate the complex political landscape of the Han court. She utilizes Liu Bang as a tool to enforce her will, while simultaneously managing the psychological impact of her actions on Liu Che. The emperor, caught between reverence and fear, becomes increasingly dependent on her presence. Lin Jiu’s goal remains focused on accumulating emotional value points to exchange for costumes and abilities, but her methods often border on the terrifying, leaving those around her in a state of perpetual anxiety.
