TLDR : the story is ok with confusing or adlibbed power structures that can change on a whim. Where I stopped being interested is when the love interest expresses she’s going to cuck/NTR MC and MC doesn’t really care other than to zone out convo. The female love interest said it would be another female ….if that makes anyone feel better.
The author writes situations and then jumps further in the story to back track explaining what happened. It’s not the most fun way to read. The author also leaves huge gaps for you to contemplate the meaning of what happened and what was said. It does not work the best for reading translations. I think the author just assumes you understand what jumps they are making. The females in the novel all cultivate the “ruthless method.” so they kill most emotions or can jump from relationship to relationship experiencing life to help cultivate easier. The MC love interest has a dual cultivation method. I don’t know if it’s bad translation or not, but it seems like she has to have other partners to increase her cultivation rank. In later chapters, 134, the female cultivator even says she’s going to “seek out and express her feelings to sister Sun”. The MC even hears it but doesn’t even comment on it other than asking what she means. Which she does not answer. Then the MC zoned out the rest of the convo.
